Kidney Stones

The urinary system forms hard deposits of minerals and salts called kidney stones, renal calculi, nephrolithiasis, or urolithiasis. As a result of an unhealthy diet, obesity, certain medical conditions, and certain supplements and medications, they can form.

A kidney stone can also form inside other parts of the urinary system, such as the ureters, urinary bladder, and urethra.

Enlarged Prostate Gland

BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is a natural enlargement of the prostate gland in men caused by ageing-related hormonal changes. Over 70% of men over the age of 50 have some degree of BPH.

When the prostate gland enlarges, it compresses the urethra and blocks urine flow, resulting in problems with the bladder, urinary tract, or kidneys.

Hydrocele

A hydrocele is swelling of the scrotum that occurs as a result of accumulation of fluid in the testicle covering. In newborns, it usually resolves without treatment. In adults, it usually results from trauma or infection.

A condition known as phimosis occurs when the foreskin of the penis becomes tight and cannot be retracted without pain and discomfort. If left untreated, phimosis can lead to gangrene and bleeding.

Balanitis occurs mostly in uncircumcised men and is caused by infection, trauma, or another related cause. It is characterised by pain and inflammation of the glans penis.

Posthitis

A posthitis is an inflammation of the foreskin caused by bacteria, fungi, poor hygiene, allergies, or skin conditions.

Paraphimosis

In paraphimosis, the foreskin becomes trapped behind the head of the penis and cannot be pulled down to cover the head, which is a complication of untreated phimosis.

An inability to control the flow of urine is referred to as urinary incontinence, also called overactive bladder. The cause of bladder control issues can be trauma, ageing, prostate enlargement, kidney stones, childbirth, etc. The treatment depends on the cause of the bladder control issues.
